Mission Manna's Current Efforts

Malnutrition Is So Easy to Cure

Mission MANNA's Current Presence in Montrouis

Our most recent effort in Montrouis is the Community Health Care Agent Initiative that provides nutritional supplements (Akamil), nutritional education and when needed, emergency medical care to 30 children.

Complimentary to our long-term hospital construction efforts, Mission Manna schedules medical missionary trips for the Fall and the Spring of each year (dates to be confirmed). We are also developing plans for a third medical visit in years to come, as well as a youth work week in Montrouis.

In addition to the medical services provided at the compound, Mission also makes overnight forays into the mountains above Montrouis to conduct clinics at two towns in that area. Medical services on the mountain are non-existent, and these trips are an important part of our medical outreach beyond Montrouis. The journey (via four wheel drive vehicle) is rather arduous (if beautiful and interesting), and as such is not a requirement. If you choose, you may stay on the compound in Montrouis, where there will be plenty to do to keep you busy. It's a fascinating and rewarding trip, however, and we would encourage you to attend if possible.
